Abstract: This paper examines the potential impact of AR within the context of a blended learning environment; specifically, a general chemistry, first-year college course. Flipgridā€™s Augmented Reality (AR) feature is currently being integrated into an interactive module designed to instruct students on critical safety protocols within an active lab environment. It is anticipated that through the implementation of AR, learners will be prompted to engage in active learning and their comprehension and retention of pertinent safety guidelines will improve.
