Abstract: The present contribution describes the use of a video and audio live streaming system configured and operated by the University of Düsseldorf‘s Multimediazentrum on behalf of the Vascular and Endovascular Clinic. Using innovative technology and a complementing course concept complex information from inside a restricted area is made accessible via various multimedia sources. Thus, the heretofore existing spatial and capacitive limitation of information flow from inside the operating room was abolished.
