A Discussion on an ID Framework for Production, Inclusion, and Assessment of AR/VR Artifacts for Online Learning
Abstract: Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) have been developed and used widely in computer gaming environments In order to adopt the use of AR and VR artifacts in a distance learning environment, we propose an Instructional Design (ID) framework The presentation will discuss how to use AR and VR, the development process, content delivery options, learning affordances, and a consideration of the technology, tools, and infrastructure needed in order to reach the greatest number of students The presentation will continue with a discussion on the process for introduction, implementation, development and testing of VR and AR artifacts in an online educational environment The presentation will conclude with a discussion on future research and return on investment
