Abstract: Designing online courses that engage the learner and make the experience interactive and authentic can be difficult for some program areas Using four trade areas that are typically not using online courses our project engaged the students in some online theory courses prior to attending a campus to perform practical applications It was from a pilot project that we offered that we gathered information to redesign our course materials to create a sense of community and highly interactive course content
