Abstract: Teacher education programs are struggling to adequately prepare future teachers to integrate technology into their teaching. The challenge for teacher education programs is to find time in a program already packed with prerequisites to integrate digital skills/literacy (especially when many faculty members may themselves be in need of technology instruction). This study was designed to explore the question of what influences the attitudes of pre-service teachers in the use of technology in the classroom? Specifically, does increased modeling/implementation of instructional technology in the college classroom lead to better/more confident use of technology by student teachers? This poster presentation will display the initial findings for this study, demonstrations of technology used in the classroom and examples of student work incorporated into the study's findings.
