Remote Collaborative Writing Support System aimed to foster Student’s Writing Ability

Abstract: The writing ability tends to be important for university students nowadays. To foster the writing ability of students, we proposed a remote collaborative writing support system based on real-time web service. Our system is web application which requires web browsers only. The instructors can edit and/or add some annotations to student’s text instantly without face-to-face communication. We conducted a usability evaluation of the system and found that the usability of the system is relatively good, but the response, operation easiness and the reliability are a little inferior.
