Using Video Streaming and a Commenting System for Role-Play in an Undergraduate Legal Education Seminar
Brief Paper
ID: 49934
Abstract: This study explores the possibilities of role-play in small seminars for undergraduate legal education. The authors introduced role-play into a class, as well as a system that streams video clips and enables viewers to post comments on the video clips. This study describes the design of the class, provides an overview of the system, and presents the results of a students’ questionnaire about using the system in the class. The results show that the system was effectively used in the class and students recognized the system as a useful tool for role-play. Although many students experienced the ease of use of the system, their frequency of use was low.
