Experiential and Collaborative Learning in Student Virtual Teams: A Global Translation Project

This presentation will share the results of the presenter’s qualitative study of Irish, French, and US students participating in virtual teams. The presenter will report on student learning outcomes that resulted from a collaboration between technical communication and translation students. She will also discuss how the collaborative project was structured, how student data was gathered, and how she and her colleagues have refined the structure of the project over the course of four collaborations. Additionally, the presenter will offer suggestions for faculty members seeking to design experiential learning projects for their students.
