Abstract: Effective instructional projects result from a successful partnership between educators who know their subject matter and instructional designers who can help them discover the best way to present it to learners. For instructional designers, collaborating successfully with educators entails both coming up with effective instructional approaches and also persuasively communicating the benefits of those approaches. This session will explore both elements of instructional design work. We will explore effective instructional techniques for transitioning instructional material from the classroom to the online environment as well as best practices for helping educators see the benefits of using those techniques.
