Share Paper: Competencies of Elearning Professionals: Trends, Opportunities and Challenges

Abstract: In this workshop we explore the trends in the areas of elearning for a variety of organizations including higher education, corporate and non-profits. We identify a set of competency domains that are critical to the needs of such organizations. Using such domains and the concepts of competency models, we explore a framework for developing the competencies for such professionals as it applies to specific scenarios. We use examples of different roles within a variety of settings.
