Abstract: Clemson University’s Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) department partners with experts in diverse fields to develop quality e-learning courses. These partners deliver valuable knowledge and real-world perspectives but often lack pedagogical and instructional design expertise. CPE developed AIM, a new approach to e-learning course development that meets the needs of each partner through the use of customized templates and support services. These tools help developers meet Accessibility, Impact and Maneuverability standards without the need for extensive training. In this session we will discuss the foundational learning theories, guiding research, underlying instructional design strategies, lessons-learned, and future research plans associated with AIM. Attendees will interact with AIM processes, templates and courses, and provide insights associated with AIM and the overarching mission to support the development of quality e-learning courses.
