Abstract: This brief paper will discuss the design and development of an innovative simulation method to prepare aviation medicine students on the requirements to work together as part of a rescue team during a remote medical event. It is hoped that this prototype of a synchronous simulation over multiple locations and time zones will act as inspiration for the development of novel methods of training to prepare students to act effectively in disaster situations of varied types and sizes.
