Abstract: Gifted education studies highly intelligent and capable K-12 and college students, as well as adults. Two areas of study have centered on how to best educationally challenge such students while providing adequate socialization opportunities. A number of viable strategies have thus far been offered, but one area of pedagogy that deserves more exploration is online pedagogy. This kind of pedagogy would include the use of a variety of technologies, including apps, online courses, computer programs, and more. This manuscript will attempt to define giftedness, demonstrate the problems facing gifted students, and offer a number of practical, online learning-based solutions that could be used by teachers, gifted coordinators, parents, home-school groups, honors colleges, and even entire school districts.
