Abstract: Teachers use short videos in the classroom, but why do they choose video as a channel in their teaching practice? This paper presents the findings from an qualitative evaluation of 264 educational videos, where the teachers describe in own words what they think are the added values of the videos. The teachers describe that the main added values are demonstrations and visualizations, even though several other concepts are described as added values of videos. The paper also discusses some less frequent and missing concepts in the teachers’ evaluations.
