Abstract: This research paper is a report of the interaction the human brain has with the Emotiv EPOC headset and the quantitative outputs when the participant is subjected to certain music. By using the Emotiv EPOC Innovation suite, the researchers are able to show how the alpha, beta, delta, and theta brain waves react to certain types of music while the test subject is studying information and reciting the information. The data from this study will go towards teaching techniques to inhibit the dropout rate and to increase participation in schools through motivating students with scholastic achievement.
