A Case Study on Creating Intentional Partnerships to Develop Effective Support Services for Online Learners
Abstract: The purpose of this best practices session is to describe the intentional partnership of a cross-functional team that worked to design and implement an intervention for online undergraduate psychology learners aimed at increasing student success. Data on the intervention has indicated that learners are benefiting from a lift in academic success at the course level and persistence in the program. This talk will address the other “success” of the project—the collaboration of student affairs, faculty, and academic administrators who followed the ten collaboration steps outlined by Schroeder (1999) throughout the design, development, implementation, and assessment phases of the project.
