Abstract: This paper makes use of data from implementation of blogfolios in the Jul 09 and Jul 10 semesters of an undergraduate course, Creative Advertising and Copywriting. The main difference in the Jul 10 implementation was that the comments feature was enabled, and peer reviews were required and assessed. This was to create a more social learning environment for students. In examining factors correlated with student satisfaction in the use of blogfolios, a stronger relationship was observed for factors in Jul 10 than the same factors in Jul 09. Factors related to comments and peer reviews had high and moderate correlation with student satisfaction. There was high correlation between student satisfaction and performance in the blogfolio assignment. Further analysis of the data show that critical factors driving student satisfaction were "benefit from reading others' postings" and "motivation for the assignment because of the blogging experience". The paper also discusses ways to increase interactivity among students in the social learning environment afforded by blogs.
