Lessons Learned from Blended Courses: Tips for New Cyber-instructors

Abstract: This paper will report on results from two studies based on blended learning courses conducted by the authors. Will discuss what types of assignments were used in the online part of the course, how the assignments relate to the entire course design, and what effect have had the online assignments on student learning. The paper concludes with suggested guidelines for teaching blended courses, considered useful for instructors who teach for the first time a blended course.
