Abstract: Digital Competence is now emerging as a keystone for successful living in the contemporary society. How can such a competence be defined and assessed? The paper introduces a conceptual model to define digital competence and presents an instrument (Instant DCA) that teachers can use to assess this competence in school. The main benefits of the pursued approach are the attention given to the educational dimensions and the easy-to-use feature of the developed tools.
