Searching on the Web

Abstract: The World Wide Web – WWW – has been largely used to search and select information resulting as one of its main uses the academic and professional activities support. This work shows a study about strategies of information search on the WWW and aims to analyze and compare the results with a similar study developed at Telaviv University. It presents nine possible searching ways and how they were used in both studies. As a result, it’s presented the most effective ways and it’s suggested better user training programs on the presented techniques.
