Abstract: "Quot linguas calles, tot homines vales" (The more languages you speak, the more people you are worth) is a famous Latin proverb. Having the current knowledge and proper usage of computers could be regarded identical to the knowledge of foreign languages. However, certain problems are detected when there is a large number of those who have no computing skills when the current trend requires them. E-Start is a project currently in progress in Croatia with the aim of creating an educational centre for computer literacy. The centre is based on the e-Learning methods with the intention to further develop this teaching methodology in Croatia.
