Abstract: This paper reports on the development of TANGRAM, a learning environment for a subdomain of Intelligent Information Systems, fully based on ontologies. TANGRAM is devised to illustrate the benefits of applying Semantic Web technologies to achieve reusability on different levels of content granularity. Currently, it reuses components of existing LOs to generate personalized learning content. In this paper we first briefly overview TANGRAM's architecture and its main functionalities. Then, we give details of the ontologies that we used to describe learning content in TANGRAM.
