Abstract: The aim of this study is to develop a digital material for learning tourism English. The material can be conducted by video on demand (VOD) or through the Internet. The content of the material mainly includes introductory texts for ten historic and famous global sites and also includes eight sets of conversation with a focus on tourism. In the design of the material, five skills for learning English (listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation) are emphasized and an evaluation system is also developed. In an e-learning era, we hope to establish the ability and experiences in higher education system to develop digital contents for English for specific purposes (ESP) in higher education system through which students or people from different fields are able to augment their language skills and to gain relevant abilities applicable to the job market.
