Abstract: Membership in the "knowledge Culture" means sharing knowledge with other members accepting the rules and ethics of the culture. This paper shows an attempt to recruit student teachers as contributing members of the knowledge culture, hoping that they will carry the flame with them into their future learning, life and classroom. A simulated knowledge culture learning environment was created, using a collection of learning and knowledge management technologies in a first-semester, educational issues, self-inquiry based, teacher preparation program. The students were urged to use, create, communicate and share knowledge, using these technologies. To illustrate the flow of knowledge within that learning environment, a case study is presented using two students in two different roles: A “contributor” and a “user”. A 3- dimensional graphic model is presented to clarify the process. A feasibility study following the experiment shows encouraging results.
