Abstract: The introduction of new technologies in health care demands that health professionals acquire new knowledge and skills. An online course in telehomecare (THC), funded by CANARIE INC., was developed to support an emerging community of telehomecare practitioners. To encourage clinical skills transference, we used an online learning model that assists learners in translating the skills learned into everyday clinical practice. Access to video segments, pop- up tools and FAQ links on every page and metadata tagging were among the tools used to make the course an ongoing resource for THC practice.
