Abstract: This paper aims to analyze student perceptions of video discussions in a graduate education course. The study focuses on the use of video conferencing tools to facilitate discussions and explore the impact on student engagement, satisfaction, and learning outcomes. The research design employed qualitative methods, including focus groups and individual interviews, to gather data from students enrolled in the course. The findings indicate that students viewed video discussions as a valuable supplement to traditional in-person discussions, providing opportunities for enhanced interaction and collaboration with classmates. However, some students also expressed concerns about technical issues and difficulties with maintaining focus and engagement during virtual discussions. Based on these findings, the paper concludes that video discussions can be an effective tool for promoting student engagement and learning in graduate education, but it is important to address and mitigate potential challenges to ensure the success of these discussions. The paper also highlights the need for further research in this area to better understand the impact of video discussions on student perceptions and outcomes in graduate education.
