An Augmented Reality-Based Learning Experience for Teacher Candidates
Abstract: Augmented reality (AR) has received much attention as an emerging technology over the last few years. By overlaying digitally simulated information in a physical environment, AR technology facilitates an immersive and unique learning experience. Despite the potential of AR, there has not been much integration of AR into the classroom. This study examines teacher candidates' acceptance and intentional use of AR technology by conducting interviews and coding their responses. The threshold concepts framework and phenomenological design were used in the study. Research data has been analyzed, synthesized, and discussed based on the participants' interview responses. Participants' responses suggest that augmented reality can improve the learning experience and be an effective teaching tool.
