Abstract: Game-based virtual learning environments (VLEs) are widely used in education and training for instructional and communication purposes. There are many studies that measured the effectiveness of and perceptions about the use of game-based VLE in education. However, few studies examined the difference among genders in benefitting from game-based VLEs in particular. This presentation reports on the results of a research study about gender differences in using VLEs effectively.
