Educational Technology Online Program Assessment for Accreditation: Integrating LMS Mastery Learning Gradebook to assess Program and Course Learning Outcomes
Abstract: The proposal highlights an on-going program assessment of a completely online master’s degree program in Educational Technology at California State University, Los Angeles. This proposal will discuss and demonstrate the process of aligning Program Learning Outcomes, Institutional Learning Outcomes and Course Learning outcomes to signature assignments and rubrics for measuring effectiveness of the program curriculum, using canvas Mastery Learning gradebook. Preliminary data analysis and results along with lessons learned in use of canvas Mastery Learning gradebook and assessment process in closing the loop will also be shared with the Educational Technology community. This proposal will serve as an example for any other graduate program faculty in Educational Technology who are interested in program assessment and accreditation.
