Abstract: Design game-based learning helps students understand interdisciplinary studies as they produce original work. This presentation explores our use of game design in a team-taught interdisciplinary language and technology general education course. We focus on design, as this allowed students to create tabletop games to playtest their thesis. Students will showcase their original tabletop games. We also discuss our plan to move forward with a design game-based learning incubator to help students gain hands-on academic and professional skills.
