Share Paper: What Is the Actual Role of Technology in Education?

Abstract: Education at all levels nowadays undergoes a radical transformation becoming contactless, remote, virtual, and impersonal, but more efficient and convenient. With education turning progressively into one technology-centered, there is a growing need not only to take advantage of the technology, but also to assess its existing and potential effects, positive and negative, on learners, learning, education, and society. This paper analyzes the effects of technology integration on students and educators and offers some practical ideas for the improvement of teaching and learning.
