Can Seat Location Data Be Useful for the Prediction of Learners’ Learning Attitude and Performance?
Abstract: This research aims to investigate the possible usefulness of a student’s seat location data on learning attitude and performance. Seat location research has been conducted in various research areas, but there are no cohesive findings. This research considered the usefulness of seat location information with learning analytics, specifically analyzing the relationships with learning logs in and out of class on an e-book viewer. The results indicated that students occupying front seats during the course scored significantly higher on a performance indicator and were more active outside the classroom on eBook viewer.
