Abstract: This study sought to investigate an in-depth analysis of how to improve Mathematics teaching within school’s in order to improve performance. The envisaged study uses a policy analysis approach as a means of identifying barriers to Mathematics teaching and the implementation and suggest recommendations that can result in better outcomes and improve performance. The aim of the study is to identify the challenges faced in the implementation of Mathematics Curriculum Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS).
