SIG Meeting: Learning Design

The purpose of the Learning Design SIG is to share the best practices of the design and evaluation of learning and instruction for various environments or settings among members as well as to promote evidenced-based research to advance the knowledge on learning design and innovation. The Learning Design SIG encourages discourse among its members on the effective use of instructional or learning design models, resources and technologies for improving learner engagement.
Of current interest to SIG members are the following topics:
1. Ways to develop personalized learning experiences.
2. New approaches to learning and/or distributed community.
3. Foster student engagement with an engaged instructor.
4. Design of the learning environment (or authentic learning).
5. Assessment as a part of learning.
6. Sustainable pedagogy by not over-taxing instruction.
