Abstract: Bringing Out the Best In People/in Me (BOBI-P/-M) is a logic of structured individual conversations that 1) challenges and seeks learners' commitment position towards tasks, people, collective goals, and future; 2) ensures that fade-outs and potential drop outs are detected and addressed in time; 3) instantly accelerates and improves learning and knowledge outcomes for both the learning community and the organizations that subsidize it. BOBI-P/-M will be deployed in digital applications of virtual, individual, safe, appreciative, and energizing conversation between learners and the mission of a learning and knowledge program and environment. BOBI-P/-M's digital applications potentially with any existing learning platform(s) with an individual interaction function (e.g., mail, chat).

Objectives

the goal of this workshop • participants understand what an collective self-empowered technology is and can situate BOBI-P/-M logic within this interconnected logics/technologies • they will have basic insights in relational intervention logic and understand that social connection and motivation is not enough to have outcomes that last • they recognize the value of scalable individual conversations for the learning and the knowledge development of the collective the learning objectives • is to give the experience, by the use of simple examples out of the workfield, of how the BOBI-P/-M logic works. This will be done by an assessment. • They will be able to compare the BOBIP/M logic pull mechanism (relational positioning) and the more used push mechanism (conditioning) • They can describe the 4 time horizons in a learning environment and illustrate the influence of self-reflection and commitment within those 4 horizons and the acceleration they have on the individual and on knowledge sharing and - creation. • they will be able to describe the pyramid of the 4 proximity spheres of influence • enabling experiments with BOBI-P/-M principles in participants’ own learning environments

Topical Outline

BOBI-P/-M is a part of a family of collective, self-empowering technologies, which have the same protocol based on relational cognition research. BOBI-P/-M is an open source, scalable mechanism, based on relational intervention logic. BOBI-P/-M is a standalone logic that requires minimal data to onboard on ongoing relational conversation. Inversely, the conversation continuously generates information and insight on satisfaction, expectations, and mutual mental and behavioral positions that are currently invisible yet critical to the effective operations and coaching of the learning environment. BOBI-P/-M’s principles and logic can be integrated with any existing learning platform(s) with an individual interaction function (mail, chat). Through self-reflection, the individual learner comes to commitments, insights within the relational positioning and its dynamics. We call this self & co- positioning. In this way the learner grow in his self-management on 4 different time horizons: 1. The now: am I in my power? 2. Near future / next deliverable: Commitment to the near future. 3. End of the course: what are the graduation standards? 4. After graduation: how much of the acquired knowledge is used / applied by the alumni The BOBI-M logic has a grip on the individual trajectory, the learner gets a better grip on the future. The BOBI-P Logic enables through positioning and commitments, more knowledge sharing and -creation which offers a better view on the collective knowledge.
