Abstract: A diverse labor force has created a changing paradigm for today's organizations. The demographics of the traditional Caucasian male workforce has shifted in the last fifty years to embrace a more heterogeneous mix of employees with varying norms. The ability to understand how employees perceive diversity through trait emotional intelligence will help guide organizational leaders to train their people to think, act, and resolve conflict in situations that require awareness and self-management.
