Abstract: This brief practice paper describes the process and structure of a faculty professional development program that prepares faculty members to teach online. When the COVID-19 pandemic started, it made higher education institutions engage in emergency remote teaching (ERT). As the pandemic continued, faculty members experienced a need to use online teaching and learning and instructional design principles to successfully teach students during the rest of the year.
