Abstract: During the COVID-19 pandemic, many instructors of in-classroom courses suddenly had to shift their courses online. With very little preparation, instructors had to engage and support students in unprecedented ways and help them learn under difficult conditions. Influenced by the effectiveness of our previous inquiry projects in which we crowdsourced educators’ stories about effective learning and teaching experiences, we are collecting the strategies educators have used in their online teaching as they pivoted to a mediated learning format. During this roundtable session we will describe the themes that have emerged from the teaching strategies shared and how they align with the Community of Inquiry model, invite participants to contribute their own teaching strategies, and share teaching recommendations.
