Abstract: COVID-19 has led many post-secondary institutions to reevaluate their plans for academic continuity. Content specialists scrambled to make sense of andragogy, quality online frameworks were researched, academic administrations reflected shortcomings of crisis and emergency planning while students were expected to make yet another major adjustment to navigating post-secondary. The utilization of social media took on scholarly connections to promote communities of inquiry. Reviewing current peer-reviewed research, proactive best practices are identified to help ease the anxiety of stakeholders during future uncontrollable natural crises.
