Abstract: Like the shoemaker who always wears the worst shoes, many educational teams struggle to organize content curation and knowledge sharing within the team. As a result, coworkers often don’t know about each other’s projects and don’t have a chance to reuse existing learning materials. In this workshop, we will discuss top-down and bottom-up approaches to changing the situation: where you can start as a team leader or and individual contributor and how to engage fellow educators in effective knowledge sharing. Each workshop participant will create a step-by-step plan for implementing knowledge management techniques into their team’s work. As a bonus exercise, we will ideate ways to capture and share with colleagues lessons learned during this conference.
