Abstract: Many students who are middle-school aged from underrepresented backgrounds are unaware of STEM careers that could fit their interests. This is due, in part, to a dearth of college-counseling at the middle-school level. This poster describes the design of an iPad app available to middle-school aged visitors to a museum exhibit of works in physics by scientists from underrepresented demographics. Students use the app to take a brief personal interest quiz that results in a STEM career suggestion. A proposed study of the app is described.
