Abstract: In the age of the novel Coronavirus, education transitioned from in-classroom instruction to teaching fully in virtual settings. This paper describes the challenges parents experience connecting to the classroom in the virtual environment, and enlightens teachers on methods to implement during non-traditional instruction to ensure parent connection. It is through the use of personalization and rapport building that teachers establish important links within their classroom communities. Once the parent-teacher connections are established, teachers can keep conversation flowing by implementing a variety of communication options.
