Abstract: This paper describes lessons learned in an interdisciplinary software development process aiming at the conceptualization and creation of a digital Pentomino game. The most important insight of the process, which had the goal of finding innovative new approaches for the digital game while at the same time allowing all participating branches of science to investigate their particular research questions, was to bring all parties onto the same level.
