Technology and the Changed Role of the Instructor

Abstract: This paper shows how the technology has changed the instructor’s role in teaching, and the authors show the new roles of the instructors with technology environment which are the design manager role, the implementation role, and the support role. In this paper, the authors discuss some of the possible effects of these roles on the instructors, students, and learning process. Also, they show the requirements and relevant tasks that teachers should be able to do in each role.
