Share Paper: TESA: A pedagogical approach to engage, study, and activate technology learning in an interdisciplinary setting.
Abstract: The purpose of this project is to examine, evaluate, and further refine a project-based teaching method using the Engage-Study-Learn (ESL) framework to support the teaching of technology to non-majors. This method has been applied in an interdisciplinary undergraduate technology course for two years. The method attempts to make technologies relevant by means of contextualization, and to make technologies accessible through achievable goals. The activation of student interest culminates in the realization of a group project.
