Abstract: Faculty have long suspected that students do not review feedback on papers. Within Canvas, you can see whether a student has downloaded the annotated comments. A select number of faculty in the Information Technology and Administrative Management (ITAM) department at Central Washington University (CWU) in Ellensburg, WA collected information from the Fall 2018 and Winter 2019 quarters about the students that did or did not download the annotated comments. We used descriptive and correlation statistics to assess the information collected. We examined feedback reviewed by various demographics as well as looking at the correlation of the likelihood if opening feedback was based on the grade of the assignment and other factors. Based on the results, the faculty have implemented various techniques in the instructional design of courses to ensure that the review of feedback data improves in the department.
