Abstract: In Korea, software education was emphasized in the 2015 revised national curriculum for improving students’ computational thinking. In the present study, we introduce and analyze the computing related education introduced in Korea's 2015 revised national curriculum on the school level and suggest some practical implications for the implementation of software education in the country. First, the educational time should be increased. Second, a systematic and continuous education system for computing education needs be formulated. The results of the present study can serve as the basic data to grasp Korea’s computing related education in other countries.
