Abstract: This paper describes the design, development and evaluation of a technology-based mobile training assistant, TASI, providing support for amateur athletes and coaches in handball sports. TASI addresses typical problems in amateur sports regarding the lack of coaches to personalize training and to provide alternative training forms, which is often required to support athletes recovering from injuries or with specific training demands. In addition, TASI provides support in the introduction of novel types of training and exercises.
