Abstract: One of the main challenges facing humanity is energy sustainability, both in normal conditions and in situations of natural disasters. In Mexico, experience has highlighted the lack of basic skills of citizens for energy production and management. Given this situation, free MOOCs have been offered to the entire population. The objective of this research is to evaluate the extent to which these technological platforms help reduce the participants' energy illiteracy. The research is mixed.
