Abstract: Online micro-credential (MC) courses are the latest revolution in the field of teachers' professional development (PD). This innovative professional development model harnesses the challenge of personalization into the field of PD. The new trend allows teachers to create their own personalized PD path by selecting from a variety of competency-based micro courses that correspond to their specific pedagogical needs. The program, which was developed by CET, focuses on common student difficulties, misconceptions, etc. and provides teachers with proven strategies and teaching practices to handle such challenges. In this paper we focus on one innovative element in our micro-credential courses – video simulations of teaching practices. To that end, we built a temporary video filming laboratory, which we named “Micro-Lab”. This paper will define and describe the Micro-Lab model as part of the micro-credential PD model.
